Freeways Latitude Group Buy

Joe that makes you the translator!! Unless Jon is going to practice his new-found skills for us!!

If I can get a front bumper for my 1997 collie I'll be interested. Might look at a rear bumper if there is one.

Only if you have a sense of humour when delivery time comes

Can you put me down for a front bumper please?

So, do we have a volunteer to chat with Freeways? If so, when do we want to give as the cut off day for finalising firm requests in this thread?

I think we can expect delays in shipping as DHL etc are still trying to clear the recent backlog in their depots, Crispin you still contemplating a Lyon run and is that likely to be cost effective?

It would be great if they have everything in stock and we got it in time for Santa :eusa-pray:

From my discussions with them in the past, they don't carry stock & orders take a month or so to come over from the Far East... I was enquiring about the TJM15 bumper at the time...

They communicate in English ;)

I'll update the list tomorrow and drop them a mail and let you all know.

Cheers

I emailed them about their bumpers & they have replied. In good english no problems whatsoever.

I had asked about the styles of bumpers available for a 90 and weights, etc.

They said the bumper is 3.5mm Steel, weighs 40KG and have two options:

699 Euro "with winch plate and the off road lights (model like ARB)"
pare%20choc%20grand%20raid%20sv%20longues%20port%C3%A9es%20s%C3%A9rie%209.JPG

649 Euro "the winch plate and just the little light and turn light and with the T to fit the hi-lift"
PARE%20CHOC%20AVANT%20SV%20GRAND%20RAID%2090%20-bis%20%202.jpg

Out of interest, is everyone planning on fitting these themselves?

I was hoping to fit mine, I have assumed of course that it will come with fitting instructions. I did have have a look at the ARB Sahara fitting instructions and it looked fairly straighforward. The more difficult job for me will be working how to take the existing bumper off the 120 but the FSM should help with that.

Shame on lead time as I need to replace mine ASAP but I'll patch it for now, just hoping we can get a good discount on a bulk order.

Logistically this might work out worse for delivery, if they are shipping one bumper you can use a regular courier, but with a big quantity they'll probably have to containerise them?

I will defo need a specialist to help on mine due to my 40mm body lift :)

What could possibly go wrong if I do it myself ???

Trev - getting the OEM bumper off is easy. I think, though, we may need to cut holes to refit the headlight washers or you will need to blank that hose off.

The finikiest part last time was the washer bottle IIRC.

Cheers

What about a volunteer hauling a big trailer and collecting? Delivery is going to cost something whether there's a discount or not but perhaps collection would be cheaper than a courier after paying for fuel, ferries and tolls and a contribution to wear & tear?

Just a thought!

I thought Crispin had volunteered to do that? One bumper less to haul because he can get his fitted there :)

And I have a trailer that could be used, twin axle jobby

As I am lazy, I would prefer as courier but if there is a large saving in the shipment, I would do it if there were co-drivers. 9 hours each way if all is well...
If, after costs etc, we only save £30 per item on shipping, forget it, beer time is more important

Let's see after the quote what it works out to be. Then we can decide.

I am in the same boat - is this something that can be sorted in terms of a rear wheel carrier?
