Front receiver for winch

Any tips on where this can purchased?

I want to take my winch off when I'm not using it.

There is a UK supplier http://www.watling-towbars.co.uk who do a standard and a heavy duty front mount receiver for the 90/95 Land Cruiser.

Strange that, they attach the winch to a tow ball.

We've been deriding the use of tow balls as a mounting point for snatching, would the same no-no apply to winching?

IMO its the shock that shears bolts and slow winching shouldn't do any harm .

Probably right, but I'd prefer a square receiver mounted winch on a tray, to be safer. I'm still considering getting one made up for the rear.
