OK on an FJ but posting here for info and to see if itks common since it’s a 150 underneath.

Yesterday my FJ died...just stopped... first instinct was glance at fuel gauge, that said over 1/4 full. So checked codes...none...

A mechanic had a look/listen...sounds like no fuel... hmmm turns out the tank was empty, I pumped in the aux tank and it fired no issue, refueling confirmed the tank was empty so the sender had stuck.

Searching the FJ forum I found a whole thread, looks to be quite common on early and later anyone had the same on a 120 or 150 series?

Does the FJ have the pump between the 2 tanks like the prado. These can fail only allowing you to fill half a tank

Yes there is a pump between the two tanks but I have a custom tank and usually operate it when I want rather than leaving it on to automatically fill. The gauge is only on the main tank. The aux tank was full, pump and controller switch off so isolated from the main, def an OE float/sensor issue.
