hi there
i have been advised to keep an eye on my fuel and brake lines

anyone know what the cost is for both fuel and brake lines ?

are they a big job to fit ?

cheers roy

My local motor factor does breaklines at £5 for 1st foot then £1 per foot there after, fitting is pretty easy, just undo the old one either make up your own or take them to be made up then refit. not sure if fuel pipes are the same but would imagine they are.

You sure that its not just the flexible rubber brake line that is starting to crack?

no its the main lines going from front to back ,
as i am going to keep the car for some time i do not see the point in a repair and would prefer to replace the complete lines.

anyone know the cost for original lines ?

Looks to be 50 odd for each of the front lines and 25 odd for the rear lines. Not too bad.

As Chris said, take them to your local garage to make up if you're not confident in making them yourself, then either fit them yourself or again ask the garage to do them for you, the flexi hoses are about £10 each from milner of road, you may as well do them if you're replacing the lines, for hoses, lines, fluid and having them made up should be just shy of the £100 I'd have thought !
