Gas bottle transport

Just checking.

It is legal to transport a gas bottle on your Roof rack in Europe?

And you can store it on its side as long as you use it upright and wait for the liquid to settle down?

DO NOT USE IT ON ITS SIDE - I've been told.

Do not know if it is legal, but I had no trouble through the chunnel or throughout Europe with mine openly displayed on the roof rack, you are correct never use a gas bottle unless it is upright.
