Had a bit of an issue today. Went to fill my gearbox with oil. made sure the drain plug was tight, turned it by hand no big bar and it has split the casing. any ideas on a fix. Didn't know if that liquid metal would be any good. or do you think it could be tigged up. worst case I guess would be to tig a full plate over it. would just mean I would have to drill it our and tig it back up when I wanted to change the oil. it the one in this pic here.

Could tig it and then re-tap and thread a hole for a new Bolt?

Had a word with the guy teaching me to TIG today and he says its fixable. Unfortunately it needs to be on the bench to do it. Oh well looks like the Gearbox is coming back out again.

Thanks for the replies guys. All tigged up and sealing well.
