Just purchased a ’86 J60 Cruiser. It is a new family member acquired from the great NW and currently residing in P’cola Fl. It has 179,000 miles and her name is Ursa.

If that all the rust on it your lucky! Like the look of the 60 series. What are your plans for it?

taking what she gives me. Working towards a descent paint job. With the small amount of rust I’ll probably put a larger dose of effort towards the finished product. Plan on keeping her for 10-15 years…….for now.

If that were a for sale here in the UK i'd expect it to say fully restored 10 years ago and now showing some minor issues .

Don't fear to spend on it because the way things are going it will be worth a million 10 or 15 years from now .

Rust was minimal and priming has been completed.

A good dose of rust prevention in all cavities is recommended especially sills, rear quarters, door pillars, between inner & outer wheel arches and all doors / tailgates.

Thanks Ben, there was minimal rust inside the wheel wells. They are sealed up nice. The rust on the tailgate was a bit more detailed but it looks pretty good.
