Harddrive sound on an LC 5

This is a strange one has any one else experienced it . Sometimes after switching the engine off I hear a sound which is similar to a hard drive being read.
the sound is coming from behind the dash board. the navigation disc player is underneath the drivers seat. it is not that. any clues.

Not sure on the LC5, but does it have a cd playing in the dash?

Karl2000 MI5 would get bored quite quickly as the car only goes as far as Morrisons.

TonyP , There is a multichanger CD player in the glove box , and the navigation CD player underneath the drivers seat. This distinctive sound comes from behind the dashboard, time for a Sunday morning strip down..

or perhaps the turbo stepper motor for the variable vanes going through its motions?
