Welcome!! Didn't think the elk were that bad up that way??

All that extra weight must put a heck of a strain on the wagon?

Hi it's not a 40 but I love it welcome wot will it weigh ? tonytoyota:icon-cool:

Welcome to the forum. That's a very nice 100 you have, with an interesting back story I'm sure. It clearly survived it's adventures in Iraq without much action. Can't imagine it has great fuel consumption at nearly 4 ton!

Hi, welcome.

Interesting truck, see a few for sale here.

Is the windscreen bulletproof as well?

Cheers

Pete

Everything is bulletproof, even the tires, they have a steel core, so they can bring you 50km if your tires are hit by bullets =)

Welcome. If I may ask, why did you buy an armoured truck? Please don't tell me if you would have to kill me :)

A mate in the Australian Army told me that on his armoured escort training course, their Cruisers went through 6! pairs of BFG AT's in 2600km (about 1600m) because of the weight.

Welcome. Nice truck with an interesting history. There is an armoured truck that pops up occassionally on email - but hey, that is just a TV crew truck, this one is proper ex special forces. It would be interesting to see the look on the face of the people at your local Toyota shop if you had to drop in for an oil change!!

Presumably the suspension and brakes have been modified to handle the extra weight.

You say that the tyres are solid - so it must have been in service with those alloys. I guess that is a testament to their strength. Some people replace them with steel rims, but I would say that if they are good enough for action in Iraq, them must be good enough for whatever we can throw at them.

Do you have underbody protection as well, as in blast protectiont?

It has reinforced brake system, reinforces springs, reinforces hinges, armoured accumulators, armoured floor, armoured roof, solid rubber core in tires, armoured windows, armoured doors, armoured panels and armoured overlays.
The floor is armoured, but its not V-curved. Its tested to withstand 50kg TNT.
The rest of the car is level B6: www alpineco com/ballisticchart

Cool! Not many arguments at junctions with that beast ;)
