i am new to the group and I have been reading the forums on over heating, I have a hzj75 6 wheeler and have just fitted a new motor and new gear box but find if I turn the air con on it over heats. I have added the oil to the fan hub as well as replaced it with a new one, seems to be ok with the air con off, but with it on overheats again. So I am looking to modifie the viscous hub, the type I have does not have the screws in side the adjust the oil flow, so as the heat from the radiator heats the coil on the front of the hub and this moves the plates inside to open the oil flow at warmer temps. So my idea is to drill a hole under the one inside to allow oil to flow much earlier and as the motor heats due to load the other hole will allow the to flow as standard.
Has any one done this, if so how does it work.
Thanks for reading .
Peter.
