The air conditioning system doesn't work. An italian shop took it apart and determined that a particular section of the tubing is leaking. I've attached a photo of the ID plate mounted in Japan, where the vehicle was manufactured. It'a a UK registered vehicle. I used it to travel overland to Capetown Africa in 2010 starting from Peterborough, UK. The vehicle still works beautifully but the air conditioner needs to be repaired. The part identified by the Italian shop is shown. I can use any advice available. If the part can't be obtained, what is the suggestion. I complete replacement of the whole system? Any other ideas? If emails can be shared I'm at [email protected]. Again, the car is located at my home in Bonito, Avellino, Italy, about one hour east of Naples.

Do you know where the hole in that pipe is? If it is just a pin hole an experienced welder should be able to tig it up....

These pipes are no longer available. I am in the same predicament. Without doubt your best option is to get the pipe either repaired or a pattern made. I can tell you from experience that cutting the bad section out and attempting to join to the cut pipe is not the best option - the join doesn’t do well with constant vibration.
