I know there are a few Hilux owners on here.
And in case they aren’t aware Toyota are running a Hilux corrosion campaign, for vehciles under 12 years old.
Dealer will inspect Hilux, and if badly corroded and perforated chassis they are being sent away and replaced - for free!
Others with less corrosion are getting chassis cleaned and treated.
Sounds like many mk7 are getting a new chassis,
Mine is 11.5 yrs old and I’m in process of getting it booked in for inspection.
I have looked after chassis but still has corrosion,
I hope I can get a new chassis
Only issue is takes over a month as a lot of work, and have to remove all non Toyota kit, otherwise they will charge for that.
Mine is heavily modified…. So if needs new chassis I will be busy removing bumpers, fuel tank etc
