With a tinge of sadness I’ve decided (with a bit of encouragement from Lynn) to sell the roof tent. So it’s on here first before it goes on eBay.
Howling moon 1.4m (I think) with the downstairs annexe. Older style fly sheet with 6 of the hooky things to hold the windows out. Light strips on two of the bars to light upstairs and down with switches, fuses and Anderson plug. Condition is used but very good. There’s the odd bit of stitching on the fly sheet that could do with sorting but no more than 20 minutes for me or 5 for someone good with a needle. The fabric is clean as is the mattress which has a fee small cuts in the cover where it can catch in the hinge. Nothing to worry about

I’ve also got the air deflector I had made which makes a huge difference to wind noise, almost killing it dead, which I will have no need for. Then there’s the ally roof rack it all fits on to with removable slide mount and a separate rack for storing the tent with jack for lifting it up (with care). Attached to the rack is a 300w LED curved light bar with white and amber LEDs in banks. Never got round to fitting the controller to make it sweep left, right or flash in pretty patterns.

And then if the roof rack is gone, I’ll have nowhere to attach the Bat wing… so that’s up for separate sale. Then there’s the winch bumper, rear internal shelf rack divider thingy and rock sliders I’ve realised I’ll never use.

Here’s some photos. The cover is intact and undamaged but it’s a little (ok a bit more than a little) discoloured. The zip works beautifully …

PM me if interested. Going to invite sensible offers to begin with. I’ll try and get the other stuff up on here with pics later.

Hi Rich, could be interested in the winch bumper when it comes up, also the roof rack if it would work with my roof tent.

Cheers

Correction, tent is a 1.6m with 2.5m x 2.5m annexe. Photos of roof rack and bumper below. Bumper has some serious anchor points for shackles.

Roof rack has channels for wires in the sides and bars. Made from 40x40 slotted industrial anodised extrusion. The parallel front to back bars are for the roof tent fixing and removal system which works but is a bit awkward now it has the perimeter round it. The two antenna mounts to the front plate I can remove if not wanted.

This is looking like there’s problems with this post or the forum. I cannot see messages or likes or recent posts. Gonna have a go at resetting but something is odd. It posted 4 pics I didn’t select and I cannot edit to remove them. Crispin!!

Still won’t allow editing. Can’t get rid of junk pics. Won’t let me post any emojis!!

The bumper has been blasted and powder coated before I bought it and stored it for the last 6 or 7 years. It clearly had some pitting in places before this was done. Mainly around the top where it would sit under the trims. Cosmetic only really as it is still good and solid. Made by Off Road Armoury. Comes with the two brackets to bolt to the chassis.
Sliders are those from Lorin built by a forum member. Really strong and solid but need finishing, welding of the rail and need finishing.

I’ve decided to put some prices on these as there’s been a fair bit of interest without knowing where to be.
Difficult to know where to place the roof rack, air deflector and LED light bar.
Cost probably £1000 to make the rack alone and is all ally. Air deflector could be converted into a roof box.

Looking for:-
£250 for the bumper.
£250 for the sliders.
£1000 for the roof tent
£500 for the roof rack, tent mount, air deflector and LED light bar.
£650 for the Bat wing with sides and lighting.

PMs please.

Hi, I am interested in the roof tent and bat wing, I cant seem to be able to PM you right now, can you send me a message please, then I can reply.

Cheers

This thread seems to have an issue where it won’t accept PMs but if you leave the thread you can send a PM. Just received one from Felix.

Sides are pretty much as new. The canopy fabric is undamaged but is a little marked from the ally rails. As can be seen it will self support to deploy and is probably fine without any wind but the legs give stability at other times. Some pics from today as I’ve just folded it out to check. The cover is sun bleached and doesn’t look good but does it’s job. The zip is faultless though. :)A7D6EECC-2A42-4B0E-84D6-5B505574EEE3.jpeg0FD095B5-2FC2-4FD5-A8B9-1A6BC354B75E.jpeg0D8F831D-D664-4CFF-B332-404361568C94.jpegA2675FAA-6E92-46AE-A5C9-578958774EF7.jpeg4C154577-1C3F-47E0-AA81-1D41A9C07965.jpeg

Sliders, I’m informed by Jon Wildsmith (correct me if I’m wrong).
These will likely support the truck on a lifting bridge if you got stuck on one. 100mm x 50mm box section and about 80mm x 50mm channel, plus tube ends for jacking. Hoops have surface rust but it’s not as bad as it looks and would easily clean off. F42872C7-618B-4E58-827D-B631079762BA.jpegD19795EA-D8EC-4ACB-87CC-7421FBDD22D9.jpeg

And here’s the rack for in the back.
Bolts together with the divider underneath or would hold up pretty well without. Again, I never fitted it, but I was told it fits to existing mounting points, at least at the front. £50. 16B15EC1-E32E-4A0B-A5AE-5D45C3B8E42A.jpegE2F55B7F-B1E7-4981-98CA-537674ECB75E.jpeg

Yours if you want it Nick. Shall I bring it to Brackley?
