How about this.

You're out driving a trail or lane and suddenly your clutch master cylinder doesn't put out enough pressure to disengage the clutch.
You've been meaning to have it looked at, but not quite got round to it.

Has Toy designed its vehicle to get you home in this hard shifting situation???

I expect low ratio and first gear selected you could start in gear.
And then once you're rolling shift up and down by adjusting engine rpm to tranny with the gaspedal???

Clutch.....what's one of them then

That's one reason I love my auto

Auto  A manual 4.2 turbo diesel is great fun to drive :D

You can still drive a car without a using a clutch pedal, I have done it when my clutch cable went on a 306. Put it in gear (2nd worked for me) and use the starter to get going, you can then attempt to change gear by manually synchronising the engine speed with the transmission speed. You wont get it right first time and you will have to use the starter every time you come to a standstill so its not advisable.

Why are you worried? there is far more to go wrong in an auto than a manual

 Auto  Manual  bad luck, sometimes they can both have fatal flaws which will stop them..

Hmmm, listen to that........was it a tin of worms opening? Ah hell why not, I prefer a manual over an auto any day.........lid now wide open!

regards

Dave

Never driven an autotranny Cruiser. So can't comment.

The only auto I've got is the CVT in my ATV.
Love it and you can fix it with only a minimum of tools.
