So what's the word on the street about them? are they any good? I have read good and bad reports, I only do road miles nothing off road so not sure...

Can't remember why but Julian V advised not to use them.

They increase performance but at the cost of not filtering very well. So not great for for your engine with all the dust gets sucked through. Best to stick with oem.

hi I put one in my truck to give it a try and so far I like it -only thing was if I listen hard I can just hear it sucking air when pulling hard -the engine sounds a wee bit crisper so yes its staying

Personally, I wouldn't use one to filter my coffee. Had a bad experience with one on a bike years ago and haven't used one since.

I'm very happy with mine, but do add a snorkel sock when I do long stretches of dusty roads/tracks.

The oil on the filters also likes to destroy maf sensors for fun

so the conclusion is that they are fine on road only cars and don't over oil them!!!

They are more for race cars where engine life and noise is less important.
