I have just recieved my new blank that i now need to have cut and on going down to my local locksmith he said that he does not have the machine to cut this type of key.

Has anyone else ordered a blank and had it cut and if so where??

Its the spade type of key with the yey part in the centre rather than on the edge if that makes sence?

Is called Inner Milling, afaik.
I did the same thing. Found out that there is only one or maybe two places in the country where they do those keys while you wait.
(Luckily one of my regular suppliers is the national HQ of this lock manufacturer that does it.)

The locksmith at the end of our street did mine there and then.
Supplying the blank and cutting it was less then a tenner if I remember right.

About 60 miles from you. If you decide to give it a shot I'll go and check he still does them as I had mine done about five years ago.

It's a fiver + VAT which comes to £5.88.

If it is chipped, he can do some chips but (in his words) he's not paying thirty bloody grand for the machine that needs a two grand update every year
So he said he can't do later models but didn't tell me years as it's different for each motor.

PM me if you are interested.
