Glad to hear you were able to get it sort of fixed, but so sorry to hear of the new problems... I was really fortunate to get my replacement ecu- they are so hard to come by... I was told by the guys at Choda 4x4 in industrial area that they were expecting to get a wrecked prado box.. maybe you can check with them and see if it has the ecu still...

If the board IS identical then I don't see any reason not to at least try it. Just check EVERYTHING, or if it has a number check that.
