Over here there are no " 50mm " ball hitches.
They are all Nato hitches.

i thought I would show one on a Land Cruiser that always parks in our car park.

I believe they come with a template, to cut out a small piece of rear bumper.
Then the Nato hitch, bolts directly to the rear cross member.
There is also a piece of black rubber trim, which fills any gap, between the hitch and the bumper, but looks like this guy, or fitter guy didn't bother to fit it.

Looks far better than any " 50mm " ball hitch.

My 40 has got the exact same hitch with a ring on either side. I was planning on swapping it for a twistable version but quite like it
 
Had that one on my first cruiser, factory fitted in japan.
That's the white one in my avatar.

I had one on my 80 series in Africa which was a Jap import...
 
I used one for years, but they're a bit "clunky" compared with a greased ball, but much more secure for heavy trailers. Used a lot for compressors, trailer pumps, roller compactors on trailers and other construction equipment.
