Even after 8 years of ownership and 210,000 miles of joyous driving, the LC never fails to impress..

Driving home on a busy road between two towns here, found a Scania 6x4 tractor unit with a Noteboom tri-axle low loader had tried to make a U-turn. He got the truck onto the grass verge mid turn, and promptly bogged it as its been raining all day, leaving the trailer blocking the entire road. It could have turned into a shit-show very quickly at rush hour, but for the mighty Toyota. First had to put it up on the ditch to get around the lorry, which it did without a squeak. Then attached Mr angry lorry driver's tow strap to the tow pin, stuck it in low range to be clutch friendly, and eased the big rig out of its ruts and back onto the tarmac. After which the driver said.. "some job that, this yoke is 17 ton empty"

Nice one Bob. Looking forward to the photos.

Brilliant! You must have been grinning all the way home after that one

Of course, you were so excited there's not a single photo to show for it... :icon-rolleyes:

No pics, as it was already dark, and there were about 40 impatient motorists waiting for it to get out of the way.. must check the dash cam and see if it caught any of it.

The term Cheshire Cat comes to mind alright! :smilecat:
