Why do you get less life out of you bulbs just because they are a higher
wattage? Is it because of the heat that is generated? You may be able to
find higher quality bubs that are tougher.

My 100w/90w bulbs last about 10 months, whereas I'd expect to get 2 to 3
years out of normal ones. I'm happy to take that shorter lifetime in
exchange for the brighter output.

Hi there Christopher
Do you have the standard wiring or did you change it.

I don't know, but I suspect that the problem is the amount of heat
generated by a 90w filament (it's always the dipped beam that goes)
within an H4 capsule.
Phillips used to make 130/100w ones but stopped about a year ago,
apparently because they couldn't get a decent life out of them.
I have found some alternative sources, but either they are unnamed
manufacturer (quality ???) or PIAA who, in my experience, are a bunch of
over-priced bullshitters. But if you can find a better source I'm open
to suggestions.
