Lincomb meets 2017

Scott, well spotted. So is the thinking that we want to miss the overland show this year (as a club thay is..) ?
If they were on separate weekends then great, but no competition Kb!

Having been to Overland a few times, it's a great show but with no chance of using the Cruiser off road
& a very disturbed night last time by some drunks arguing has really put me off going again.

Should be able to do the April meet, I hope!

For the club Lincomb trumps the Overland show, the overland show is interesting and could split some people who haven't yet had their fill of the Overland show, but as has been mentioned at Lincomb there is more for the Land Cruiser owner. Just a shame these things clash, but that's life, and it'll probably give some people a break from the Overland show for a year.

I hope I'll be able to make a Lincomb meet this year.

April won't be possible for me but September hopefully will be good.
Time off is a bit of a premium at the moment.

Karl, well done for getting some dates arranged. Shame the September weekend clashes with the Adventure Overland show.
Would it not be possible for the September dates to be altered for those who would like to do the Overland show as well? we obviously couldn't do anything about the AO show.

Usually these dates are the only weekends there is space for us Chas unless you're bringing a horse :grinning:

Hi guys. I'm hoping to catch up with some of you in September.....

I should be able to make the April meet was such good fun last time

We can bring some tesco burgers if that counts to a date change?

Right guys. Sorry for the delay. As Scott pointed out the second meet was going to clash with the overland show. The second meet will be pushed back a week to 30th sept/1st oct. hope this is ok with everyone. I know it's two meets together but they should both be good for the social side.

Trevor is doing a punch challenge again for the people who enjoy it. Beers round the fire, general cruiser chat and hopefully some nice weather and we will be good to go.

Regards the payment side.
£15 per person per day. This can be collected on the day as it will be easier .
That includes the driving in the woods if people want to and the punch challenge / farm drive. Obviously two nights camping.

People usually arrive anytime after lunch on the Friday and leave sometime on the Sunday afternoon. It's pretty laid back regarding these times.

Obviously this is Tony's business and we have to drive around horses etc so whilst around the yard please keep to walking speed.
Thanks

Hi, I'd like to come for the first time. It will be nice to put faces to names, although I've already met some club members.

I can't make the full weekend of 29/30 April but I met Andy Lomas the other day who suggested coming just for one day, turning up in the morning and leaving in the afternoon, which sounds like an excellent plan

So can I pay on the day and which of the two days would people recommend? Sunday would suit best

Cheers

If I had to pick I would do the Saturday. Attending for the first time last year there was a great sense of excitement and anticipation which was great to experience. Also being there for the Saturday will give you a chance to catch up on the days events and socialise with the folks round the fire before leaving. That was the best bit for us as first timers.

Hope that helps!

+1 Saturday has everyone arriving, Sunday everyone leaving.

It's kinda open door Dave you could arrive at midnight and leave at 6am or whatever there's no card carrying officials its just a bunch of mates meeting at a farm respecting the farmer and bunging him a few quid in appreciation .

Don't wake Trevor though even with cash in your hand he's 10ft tall and a miserable sod
