Hello, I'm new to this forum. I have recently undertaken a complete engine swap from a KZJ70 and implanted into a mint 1991 LJ70 shell. The KZJ70 shell was a complete rot box and I inherited a mint LJ70 with a genuine 7000 miles on the clock.

I just wanted to know the official verdict on the parts compatability between the KZJ70 & LJ70. Do they share all the same steering components like shockers, springs & steering pump or am I wise to weight everything in?

I know very little about these machines except how they are great offroad & in the snow.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the club.

Most parts are the same.

The KZJ70 brakes are slightly bigger, but apart from that there the same. :icon-wink:

I wouldnt weigh any of it in apart from the rusty shell. 70's are fairly rare in the UK and second hand parts fetch good money.
