Julian, you don't say new or 2nd hand ? I would not advise speaking
to the specialist Toy suppliers unless the usual bona fides can be
produced. Individual buyers would have to have a good case for not
going to the more usual distributorships. Though Inchcape do have a
specialist division I believe, and might have stock in the Middle
East, they are after all Toyota's largest distributor.
But wasn't there someone saying here a couple of months ago that they
had a good source of 70 series somewhere in N Africa, and was waiting
for the price to come down?
I assume that LHD or RHD are acceptable?
I will ask my mate who buys the 75's to see if he can remember who
the usual suspects are.
Although a LR distributor it may be worth asking Conrico if they have
any 2nd hand stock.
As always for 2nd hand I would advise looking for dispersals. Try
Googling the following words - dispersal, disposal, surplus, sealed
tender, bid, viewing, aid agency, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia &
Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, Romania, Macedonia,
Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon.
Also look for websites of national newspapers in the countries above.
Its where we always advertise surplus sales. (Papers in Bosnia are
Dnevni Avaz, and Oslobodjenja - but in local alphabet, though you
should raise them on these spellings :- ).
I do know that the NGO - UMCOR are currently dispersing their entire
Bosnia fleet as they are pulling out of the place. But they may only
have Nissans available. (If all goes to plan I may have to buy a
couple from them in February).
Cheers
