Every time I watch one of these I wonder how do they plan the route, or is it just "chuck yourself off a hill". One wrong move and you're done for but stunning to watch, foolish, impetuous but awsome. That takes some balls.

I suspect there is a lot of planning and a lot of practising. They're falling slightly slower than a rock. If they make a wrong move and run out of space, no luxury of just applying throttle and climbing out. | <- that's a smily after hitting the cliff face.

I think they do plan the route, to be as close as possible to obstructions, they could just as easily fly clear of any danger, but hey, where would be the fun in that? I'm afraid I have no sympathy when they misjudge it and come a cropper.
