The Tiger Explorer is the 1200cc version with shaft drive and a pile of electrickery ito drive-by-wire and fancy traction control etc. Big bike - no good for commuting unfortunately
I used to use my BMW 1200 G'S to commute in London. It was on for all but the tightest of slots. Good for the pot holes though and a commanding view of the road.
The big GS' are great for that, well planted and with a truck-driver's view of the traffic.
Unfortunately I've usually got a full set of 'Metal Mule' panniers & top box fitted when I'm out there - they are 39" wide - it concentrates the mind .
My '100 GS' is more nimble but doesn't have the sophistication of the 1150 .
