I use a monzo card for my frequent trips abroad, the exchange rate is great, it’s prepaid so secure and all very easy to use with instant mobile updates.

ATMs are everywhere although over the summer a lot of the banks started charging a fee. Still free to use ones available if you know where too look

The Monzo card can also be used to withdraw upto £200 per month free, there are charges after that but still better than the bank rates. Prepaid cards offer a much more secure option than a bank card. The more you use a bank card to pay for goods and services the more likely your card is to be cloned, at least with a prepaid card you only lose whats on there and it's easy to top up via your phone. I only use my bank card now as a last resort, and only to draw out cash from a bank ATM. I always give the ATM keypad and card slot a good tug to make sure they aren't a cloning device stuck on.
