I’ve just fitted king springs uprated ( suitable for ahc) and Firestone air assist bags with onboard controls , I also torqued up the Torsten bars to compensate and the ride is superb and allows me to carry heavy weght and compensate with the air bags

Happy birthday. What a fantastic treat, how much did it set you back?

Springs £240 inc duty
Airbags £250
Onboard controls ( don’t need) £275

Where did you get the airbags from? I'm looking for some of those again.

Interesting - I've looked at that supplier's web site before and they don't list anything for a Landcruiser, but they obviously do supply them. Thanks.

Yes speak to dan levy
Tell him I ve just bought the kit so he’ll remember. I assume you’ve still got ahc

Jon, Matt Savage does them too

Yes, I still have AHC which I'm refurbishing, and I have a set of king springs which I may fit once I've added a bit more weight. I've been down this road before and know that if you don't let the AHC carry enough of the load you get a bouncy under damped ride.

Thanks Chris.

I carry tools most of the time . As long as you’ve got correct king springs

Good morning.

After seeing Philip’s post I ordered a set (non onboard controls) from On Air. Non ahc.

Instructions was to remove wheels, springs and bump stops, but i fitted it by jacking up lc, forcing air out of bags and pushing them through the spring gaps.
Supposed to feed pipe up, but i flipped them round as there was already holes at the bottom and the extra fuel tank made it difficult to see where the air pipe will come out.
Did not at first cut the bumpstops as i wanted to check the hight. Eventually cut about an inch off- might go further if needs be. Photo’s are pre cutting so squashed at the top.

Had bike rack and camping gear loaded and feels much better now.

I fitted mine inverted , however I removed the bump stops completely

It shouldn’t touch top at all it relies on the bag when pumped up spreading.between the coils . That why bump stop should be removed on the 100 it’s only cut on the 200 series. When bags not needed you just need 5psi in bags and up to 25 psi when loaded. Didn’t your bags come with Kevlar outers to protect them

Cheers. Will remove the bump stop. No kevlar- Checked with Dan Levy but he says no kevlar on this airbag model. Did not specifically say it is included when i ordered so cant really do anything about it.

And what was costs

£245. Its a 100 with the ahc removed - old man emu springs and koni shocks.
