Oil Pressure - VX100 4.2TD

Hi all

Just curious on this one...
What are the ideal oil pressure levels for VX100 diesel? (mine is an '02 4.2TD - done 370,000k)
The gauge has 4 splits...0 - 25% - 50% - 75% - 100%
I have never really cared about this because my old lady (Angela) has always been perfect but now she is getting on a bit was wondering....
I notice the needle moves anywhere from 30% at idol to when 50% cruising along the hi-way and up to 65% when I give it a kick in the guts.

Any feedback appreciated

Sounds about right, but the gauge is as good as a choc tea pot to be honest and is not a good indication of pressure. I found on my old 100 (03) that on replacing the gauge the needle became more responsive but still hovered around the same areas.

If you are concerned then hook up a propper pressure gauge otherwise dont worry.

Yep that's about right! I've thought about fitting a pressure gauge from a take off along the oil gallery, which would be more accurate. What do you think? Good idea?
