Petrol Cost

Hi, Can anyone advice me on the mpg of a petrol 80 series?

Horrific,
You would really want to LPG it.
You don't want to run an 80 on petrol.
Perhaps running around town, 17 mpg at best?
On a steady 60 mph run, perhaps 23 at best?

My best to date on petrol @ a steady 60mph was 19mpg. Around town 15mpg.

On LPG I seem to get 12mpg regardless of what type of driving. I need to have my system serviced though.

Yep I am in agreement with those figs. I've run a 96 and a 98 this year and thats exactly what they did. Great to drive smooth and quiet compared with a diesel and cheap as chips to buy. Good case to buy one!

I never got better than 20litres / 100km out of my 4500 efi 80 series. And that went to about 30litres / 100km when heavily laden travelling in thick sand. Plenty power though
