Power steering pump knock?

Hi there, I am a new member to the club and look forward to talking to some fellow 80 series lovers.

I have just recently replaced my power steering pump as it was making a slight tapping sound and leaking and airating the fluid. Now there is quite a substantial knock and i am unsure if it could still be the pump or the oil pump. Has anyone ever had the same knocking sound from either the oil or power steering pump.
