Power Steering

Hi all, my 1992 hjd80 1hdt 4.2 has a groaning sound from the power steering on cold start each morning. Temperature here in Spain is about 2 to 3 degrees. I need to top up the reservoir with about 150mls dextron II every couple of months. There does appear to be any visible leakage. Any ideas please. Thank you

If the seal at the front of the pump behind the drive gear is leaking then it will leak into the sump via the timing case and not show any external leak ...
Maybe time for a new pump ....
