Pump attendants back at Shell

hmmm, so how are they going to be funded? Surely it means that Shell will have to charge more for the fuel to cover the wages

Our local Shell station is self service as normal, but on certain days, at certain hours, there is a guy who patrols the forecourt, asking anyone who looks like they could do with assistance, if they would like him to fill their car.

So the service is available but not full time.

It will be heavily funded by the cessation of 'drive-offs' - my mate has a very busy Petrol station and he reckons £500.00 a week in losses is a good week!

Can see the roving pump attendant idea going badly wrong when it turns out they aren't, and the bogus attendant takes off with the car........

Still, its a good move, it will do wonders for unemployment in Lithuania and Poland, they can recomend a car wash as well.

I think that will be the sad fact. It'll do zip for unemployment of of British. Like Subway's PR about opening new stores and creating 600 jobs.
/OT and climbs off soap box.
