Remote locking

The arm and dis-arm buttons on both my keys are beginning to fail. I need to be on top of the car to lock and un-lock it. Is it just a case of new batteries? I thought they might be the rechargable type.

Yup I would try new batteries first. Not changed them on mine yet, but tat would be my first test, well at least on one remote first

I have the same problem on my 90 and a new battery made no difference , of course my trucks knocking on for 18 years old now . As a warning i decided to try taking my spare fob apart to clean it and it has never worked since . I have wondered if there is something on the truck , a signal receiver or some such that might be cleaned to increase range . I would be grateful if anyone could tell me where to look ?

Had the same with my 120, was the battery in the fob. Dead easy job with a set of jewellers screw drivers. No dramas and back to normal performance afterwards.
