Replacement AC pipes….?

Has anyone found a source for the aluminium AC pipes under the bonnet? I need the one that goes across the bulkhead.

I am interested in hearing of any straight replacement parts rather than looking into getting one made up.

I know of a couple that have been welded as they had small pin prick holes in them.
Short term fix really as they are all nearly 30 years old.

I bought my bulkhead pipe from Toyota. The new pipe is a better shape which does not touch the bulkhead insulation and condensate.

Is your pipe a single piece or in two parts Frank? Mine is a single pipe but looking at parts diagram it is shown as two separate pipes….

When did you get yours from Toyota? I’ll admit I haven’t tried but part number comes back as unavailable through Amayama and Partsouq. I’ll give them a try.

The replacement part is 2 pieces, that way it can be fitted easily.

If you have a 12 valve just buy the 12 valve parts as the 24 valve pipework has smaller connectors and between the 2 models they're not interchangeable.

Hi Lorin,
"Bulkhead pipe" comes in one piece and is joined to the engine compartment pipe just below the clutch master cylinder. Part number of the pipe is 88717-60671. My dealer got into a pickle and ordered several pipes in one go and I chose the one I needed. The ruler says "0"-"75 cm" at the joints. Mine is 1995 24 valve and I bought the pipe in about 2006.

Some diagrams show this pipe in 2 parts "A" and "B" but I cant work out their full numbers.

Mine came in 2 parts, but I seem to remember there was some confusion when ordering. I don’t remember exactly, but what turned up first time was one correct part, and something else. They then fiddled about on the computer and ordered something else, which turned out to be the correct half pipe that matched the original correct other half of the pipe.

Yep, you’re not wrong. Thanks for that.

Thanks for sending me the info Frank. Unfortunately, as per above, the parts for the 12 and 24 valve models appear to be different. Your part number is specifically for a 24v model. Interesting though, this part is also listed as NA, so given both you and Dave have managed to source one, I may get lucky through the main dealer.…

I’ll update once I know

Bu**er! Main dealer has confirmed the part as obsolete and no longer available. I’ll keep looking at aftermarket.

Quite agree!!! I believe there are specialists whom make A/C pipes to order but I've done no research on these. I believe they make flexible ones with the correct ends on. Good luck.
