Reversing camera

Just bought a rear camera for my 2003 LC, taken the centre console out and there is only two plug sockets that are not used...anyone ideas as to which is the one I use also the camera I have bought has only a yellow plug, so I need an adaptor... where would i get one....

Hi Chris, I think you need an interface to connect a camera to the dash display - I've been looking myself & can't find a cheaper one than this:

It's annoying having to pay £25 P&P but I can't find a cheaper one.
The advantage of this interface is you can put 2 cameras on - I was going to make an extra one with one of the wireless cameras to put on the back of my caravan - it would be great to see when reversing it!

I'm not sure if this wiring is the same (as it's for a 2003 4Runner) - but it gives you an idea of the complexity of the wiring involved:

I think I will go for an aftermarket set up as for a couple of quid more also get Bluetooth, and they look a nice touch....so next question is anyone point me in the direction of a good one....

Do you mean a different head unit? I don't think you would be able to change the original one as it controls heater etc.

Yes, I do mean the head unit, theres a few being sold in ausy land that are plug and play specially for LC 100`s
