Mine booked, standard outgoing fully flexi return. What date are we aiming to return? I've booked for two weeks later but with the flexi that's not too important.

well i would like to be back by Saturday 29th which gives me Sunday just in case i need it
Will try to avoid 31st mon as it a bank holiday and it could be a lot of hassle to get a ferry home

So will leave Romania wed/thurs but we will decide that when i am there

Hi Ram Long time no hear from you, yes of course you can tag along. We are booking the 7.35am on 15th August crossing from Dover with P&O ferries, the ship is The Spirit of Britain IIRC.

It would be great if you come Ram, the disappointment in numbers seems to be mostly the "convoy" concept, where 3 trucks is a bit lacking, but 4 would improve that!

I'm just a stopping point on the way through, the more the merrier for me.

not going because of a convoy

going because it a trip i and maybe other would like to do

Also to me some of the members of this forum

And the best bit is having a bit is the lanes plus a bit of fun

I go on trips and its very rare that there is convoy on the way down because we all travel at diff times and speeds, sometimes you might get two of u who will travel together but thats it

I'll say no, end of May and into June sometimes, but August will see it all gone. I can't promise anything, because these tracks often change one year to the next... We will see

Thanks guys, Chas i've been busy lately, funny how life throws surprises, i thought i had semi retired but have had to get involved a bit more again.Are we all booking standard out at 7.35 on the 15th and fully flexi on the way back on the 29th, also are we booking hotels on the way and back in advance or just turn up and hope there will be rooms available,either way i don't mind as i am used to sleeping in the truck but if her indoor comes along then i def. need to sort out the hotels as i can't see her keeping in the truck.

I'm hoping to camp for the most part but if you go back a page Ram , Ratrace has put together a few links showing likely stops and most of them offer a choice of accommodation from a plot to pitch on or a cabin to lodge in .

For me the "convoy" was a novelty and would be fun but the main attraction was always just getting to see Romania , everything i've ever heard about the place makes me think it is somewhere i would like to live , yet i could never imagine it being a place i would ever visit . Then this opportunity presented itself out of the blue
