roof rack baskets?

anyone know a UK supplier of roof rack baskets like this:

yes i looked at them, but they are a bit wider and longer and bigger than i want and dont want to be spending £100+ on something i would rarely use anyway
i want something to clamp on the roof-bars on myMaggiolina extreme RTT (load limit is 20kg and that rack is 13kg alone)
in case i need a bit more storage space during a trip

I might just try strapping my waterproof seakayaking bags onto the bars and not bother with a basket.

You could have mine for 60 quid if you wanted it Andy It doesn't feel like 13 kilos but you never know...

The other option might be plastic barrels...

I will need to measure the space on top of the RTT to see if it would fit, since the stowage area is recessed and i think 80-85cm was maximum width that would fit there
and wondering if the vehicle would look daft with a tent and a rack on top of that!

Aye, I think it might look a bit odd on top of the tent... Not to mention access!!!

Hi measured it and your basket would be too wide and way too long - it would project about 1m in front of the foremost roofbar on the top of the tent, which would be asking for trouble!

Is it just a small basket to go on the front bit of the tent that you are looking for?

on this photo you can see a couple small bars on top of the RTT

i have never used them before,
so was mulling over options to use them if i need to, if lacking space inside the vehicle etc

e.g. will probably just strap a waterproof kayaking bag on there with the dirty laundry
but a small basket would have been usefull if i wanted to carry firewood etc

Maggionlina say 20kg is the limit anyway

problem is putting stuff on the rack upsets the aerodynamics even more,

well... couldn't find what I wanted, so made my own one today
weights 8kg so lighter than most i found on the web

part way through painting the primer coat, i wished i hadn't bothered and should had taken it for a powder coat
