Sat Phone

Always had a Thuriya in the past, but it was a bit hit and miss.
I see there is a new range of sat phones around and wondered if anyone had used them and are they any better than the old ones? I was looking at a handset which could then be connected in a car kit later.
Any known price plans as well?

I bought one of the newer Thuraya phones at the end of last year to replace an old style one. It connects to the network a lot more easily than the old one and seems to hold the signal better. I got a car kit for it but apart from checking it works I've not had chance to use it yet but I should be giving it some use in a few weeks.
