Well, the V10 itch has passed. With having bought Chris's Hilux a few months ago, which is far more practical for work I decided to let the Touareg go. It had gone from a 1000 mile a month machine to rarely used.
Having responded to a "wanted V10" advert a young guy came up from Somerset and bought it.
He came up with a Landrover and trailer so was prepared to take it. This was no ordinary LR though. BMW twin turbo 3L engine developing 400+ bhp and an 8 spd auto with custom air suspension and many other mods it was something else.
Having agreed to buy it for the asking price he put the LR on the trailer and towed it away with the VW for a quieter more comfortable ride back down sarf.
My time with the VW had been enjoyable and interesting but it may or may not have been a ticking time bomb, it is a lot of vehicle for a good Colorado money .
Back to full time Toyota now.
