Here in sunny Essex it’s all or nothing, we live on Canvey Island and at below sea level, 2 metres to be precise, usually the weather blows over us and keeps going, this time it stopped for a visit, Chelmsford 20 min drive north virtually nothing, at home ( Cant work in the snow) with the old Duchess, ( poor woman) we may go out for a drive after the rush hour(s) to see the Essex countryside just because we can. Best regards to all, Bill Westley

Had a bit around here, push bike got me to work and back as normal, Beemer did it's normal daily duties and the 80 is sat in the naughty corner.

Work was quiet as a lot of customers cancelled, roads were slow going all for 2 inches of snow!!

Me and another guy at work with a decent off roader are on duty tomorrow and friday to ferry essential staff if needed.

Looks like I picked the wrong time to send my tailgate off for modification!! emergency tailgate substitute to get the truck back on the road tomorrow!!!

Snap, I’m on call if needed too with Sussex 4x4 Response. I’ll be very surprised if we’re needed.

At least it’s snow related, a photo from the winter of 1954, trying to keep the tram cars running...

The snow and wind has taken hold here!

Deeper than it looks!

Long stretch to get through! I got my 60 well stuck at the end there! So once or twice bitten twice shy! Especially when your going out for supplies. Not play time!

Hell of a good truck!

Nearly got snow discs on my wheels!
There hasn't been loads of snow yet. But it's blowing the snow off all the fields and into the road... which equals a great time!
The 81 has great clearance so it can tackle drifts real well... sometimes have to take a second attempt because the aim of the game is to not get stuck!
The only problem for me is that the water has frozen in the pipe from the well up the side of the hill... so the 81 is going up the hillside to collect water!
Apparently there's more snow coming and if these drifts grow too big then.... yes snowed in! Am well prepared so let it be!:thumbup:

As the rear diff lock is broken on my truck I am debating whether to get it over the pit before I leave work or... Do it when I get stuck later laying on cardboard! Trouble is if I put it in I will have to jack it up and take the cover off to get it back out again!

Funny you should say that Richard, mine started working again (i think it was just frozen) so no problem parking this morning...
