As part of the post-trip checkup, I have found that there is a slight weep from the large bolt on the back of the steering rack.

I hadnt spotted it because the leak from the offside oil seal has been dropping oil onto the plate underneath, pretty much the same area.

Is it a simple case of remove bolt, replace O ring or washer, and re-bolt then refill ?

Cheers

Is that the bolt with a lockring?

On rear of steering rack, offside?
Shouldnt leak there?
I have had all that out and replaced preload bushing, not a drop of oil and no seal there.
Got a photo
could be oil from old leak or somewhere else

That sounds like the one.

Will wipe it all down again - guess I need to sort the oil seal out first as it may well be the oil be blown backwards onto the rack.

Cheers

Pete
