Techstream

I've got an old XP IBM laptop gathering dust which would make a perfect partner for the Techstream. Apart from the interface between the laptop/server and the car, what else both in hardware/software and advise do I need to get me fully up and running as far as doing my own diagnostics is concerned? John

I bought a program from flea bay for about £5 and a mini vci cable about £20 ten downloaded a driver. For the cable
all works well. I also had to buy a cheap laptop for xp £26

Presume these will work off a XP virtual machine i.e. Windows Virtual PC running in Windows XP mode?

Only works with windows xp. I have no idea what a virtual machine is
