Now that I've got a tent sorted I will need to light it up @ night :) I'm a bit bewildered by the choice of lanterns & illumination available & @ this point in time I'm considering this emergency torch made by Ring as it charges from both 240v & 12v so can be fitted permanently in the truck & used as a torch when required but it also seems to have a small tube fitted on the side that would also be handy for the tent me thinks  :?: :?

This said I do like the idea of a remote controlled rechargeable LED lantern

WHY :?: & why :?:

I'm still on the lookout for a torch that can be left plugged in, in the truck so its ready whenever. All the ones so far can be charged that way but can't be left plugged in on charge.
Would be very interested in one like that.

At the mo i use one like this:

I had one of these, it has lasted well having had it for around 3 years.

I have a coleman floating lantern as it is 100% waterproof. Handy if you leave it outside it pours with rain. I also have a coleman multi fuel lantern that uses the same fuel as the stove.

I have 2 of these.

They have 2 sets of led's.
There is button on the side,
1st press just gets inner led's, 8 off
2nd press just outer led's, 16 off
3rd press gets all led's, 24 off
4th press is back to off.

They have a small magnet at the back, so can easiy hold to the side of your car, or inside tent with metal pole.
Also have round clip, to hang it from an elevated position, to give a flood light effect.

Runs on 4 AA,

Graham
