The Cruiser won't start "CLICK"

Heygoatwrangler, thanks for your post. After much research, I am hopeful and fairly confident it is the starter relay. My new Denso relay should be arriving in the mail this week. Fingers crossed, but I believe there is ample evidence this COULD be the culprit, and it is the cheapest & easiest elimination factor. No info out there on where it is located had to hunt it down hiding in the firewall.

In my ten years on the forum I've seen more people have the issue with the starter solenoid contacts wearing out than any trouble with the ignition switch. It's the first thing I'd check. These were mine.

Replacement parts were 15 GBP a few years ago.

Hey MODVRS, you were right of course. The relay didn’t end up being the problem, as it clicked again. I ended up pulling the starter and replacing the magnet plunger and contacts. Big job for me, but happily it seems to have done the trick.
Crazy you can’t get a replacement new starter in the U.S., but hopefully this will be good to go for a decade or more!
