thrashing along at 80mph

I did get my previous HD80 up to an indicated 120mph on the M25, but I wouldn't consider doing that now I'm old and a bit more sensible, Ha, ha.

I also tend to cruise at 60 - 70, usually about 65. I too am mean and like
to conserve fuel and anything above 75 the consumption dips below 10 mpg.

That said I never cruise that fast because the fuel consumption goes way up
when I go faster than 60. I go slower because I'm from a long line of cheap
Scottish bastids - and proud of it - not because I fear for my 1HDT.
