Turbo problems

Interesting stuff!

The problem I've read for a lot of bigger turbos is that they just don't spool quick enough like the CT12 does and so drive ability can be lost a little on the bottom end for gaining more on the top. That's ok if you're building a race truck or a complete off road beast, but for a DD it can be hit and miss.
 
Torque v power , that's why i stuck with standard when i swapped mine . A variable turbo would give you both which is why the D4D 90 gets more power and better mpg , but its micro managed boost and while i'm sure it can with the right supporting mods in its standard form the D4D variable turbo is underwhelming against a well set CT12B (with supporting mods) .

Keep at it though Iwan not many of us have got a whole fleet of cruisers allowing us to choose which one to fiddle with so you are our trailblazer :text-bravo:
 
so found the problem put a cheap 1 on from ebay and is fine we did change the actuator for a uprated 1 but changed it back as it spikes too much
