Vehicles date of manufacture

Hey crew!
Hope everyone is well.
Trying to register my 80 series Landcruiser which I brought back from Australia to the UK, which is proving a little tricky.
A vehicles date of manufacture is the main piece of information that the DVLA is asking for. Apparently from a 'reliable source' or owners club is a enough evidence.
Considering I've provided the date of manufacture from the VIN plates I'm a little confused.
Wondering if anyone could shed some light on this problem.

Put your VIN number into Toyodiy and it will give you the month of manufacture.
When I imported a bike from Canada they wanted the date of original first registration which was provided by Honda Canada.
