Vrt and Insurence

Hi guys I’ve just imported 1976 landcruiser into Ireland from outside EU.
Am I right in thinking there is zero VRT on classic vehicles? Do I need to make appointment with NCT centre first or Vrt office to get it registered.?
And who’s good for insurance on classic vehicles at the moment?
