Warning light

Hey all I'm new to all this so just bare with me cheers, I've got a 1996 80 series and just recently I have a warning light coming up with a picture of an oil can and like a ripple of water under it, what does this mean Cheers.

Oil level light. Meaning low oil level in sump. Check dipstick. If OK then it is a faulty level sensor on side of sump or loose wires here.

Cheers for the reply frank, yea I checked the oil straight after that light came on but I'll check the sensor and wires now that you have told me thanks mate I'll let you know how I go.

Might also be the warning for the water trap in the fuel filter unit being full. Maybe post a pic of the light otherwise we could end up shooting blind as is often the case with internet diagnosis...
