With the rather unique 5 stud bolt arrangement on the 100 series, what are people doing when it comes to upgrading? Is it bet to go with 17 or 18" rims and what offset options are available? Say I was targeting a 33" tyre then what is the best way to do it. Had a quick google but 5 stud 17" offroad rims are not exactly falling off the shelves....

Most put the standard 16 inch rims on mate if it's not already got them on as there's a better range of tyre for them.

Ok Thanks Karl, SO what is the widest tyre a 16" can run. Will it take a 285/75 without the need for wheel spacers?

285 are fine. Not seen bigger on standard 16 rims personally

May I introduce?

I see 17" rims are also available for the LC100.
Drop me a line if need be :)

Yes, I had some on mine during the refurb of the original alloys....

Thanks, I am debating on going with a larger tire on the 16" original rims, or change to a 17" or 18" rim. Everyone seems to agree that a 285-75-16 tire will fit the original rims and clear the wheel wells at all suspension height settings. My LX 470 is 1st series 1998.
